Breakfast is Served!

At Over Easy Café, we take pride in creating breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes made fresh to order.

Focusing on supporting local farmers, we take pride in sourcing as much local product as possible. You can taste the difference in our free-range eggs, organic local eggs from Queen Bee Farm.  And our antibiotic, organic & hormone-free meats and tempe from Benton's, American Pig, Carolina Heritage Farm, Carolina Bison, Hickory Nut Gap, Sunburst Trout, Geechie Boy Mill, Old Mill of Gillford, Olivetti Farm, Gaining Ground Farms, Ten Mile Farms, Joyce Farms, Carolina Ground, New Appalachia, Anson Mills, Smiling Hara, Dolci Di Maria, Ran Lew Dairy, Jaw Works, Goat Lady Dairy, Queen Bee Eggs and Farm to Home dairy.

We have a variety of dishes that will satisfy any food restrictions...Local,  Seasonal, Organic Meats and Dairy, Gluten-free, Vegetarian, Vegan and Dairy-free.

Our organic fair trade coffee is roasted by Mountain Air Roasters and breads are from West End Bakery.

All our food is cooked to order in a small but magical kitchen, so come in, relax and enjoy your day.

Over Easy Events

The cafe is a great space to host a party.  If you are looking for a small downtown venue to have a wedding reception or you want to do a catered private dinner party we can accommodate.

Carson Lucci

Owner

Carson has a classic, good-hearted story that we can all fall in love with. After many years of service for previous owners to the original owner,  Carson purchased the business in 2005 and built the cafe into a staple restaurant among locals and tourists alike. She recently celebrated her 11th year of ownership in January 2016. You will find her walking the floor daily at Over Easy Cafe.

ERIC BURLESON

Head Chef

Eric has spent a lifetime creating both visual and delicious dishes in the kitchen. His passion for his culinary craft is enthusiastic and admirable.  HIs managing style is hard to match and is on display daily.  Being a native to WNC, he is eager to preserving heirloom ingredients to ensure the history of food in WNC.

Every plate achieves that perfect blend of flavor, comfort, and home-made taste.

Some places serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We could do that, but we were always told to stick with what you know. And we know breakfast. 

Our menu is inspired by Southern comfort staples and locally-sourced Appalachian suppliers. We work very hard to source our ingredients from local producers. We want every dish to be considered mountain-grown because it is. 

We understand that not everyone eats the same kind of food so we offer a number of gluten-free and vegetarian options such as the Gluten-Free Ginger Spice Hot Cakes, Chipotle-Maple Tempeh Plate, or Season Hash Bowl.

We also offer a myriad of fresh squeezed juices and smoothies. We have a few special blends that will start off any day right.
